Brother Paper Feed Kit 1 D00LF5001

What is a paper feed kit?
A Paper Feed Kit is a replacement part designed for printers to ensure smooth paper feeding. It typically includes rollers and other components that help prevent paper jams and ensure consistent printing quality.

When and why should I replace my rollers?
Replace the paper feed kit in your printer when you encounter consistent paper feeding issues like jams or misfeeds, which typically occur after extended use. This kit includes components like rollers that can wear out over time, leading to these problems. It's essential to replace the kit to ensure reliable paper handling and maintain the printer's overall performance. Most printers' come with counters that automatically track the number of scans or prints. After a certain number of scans, it may be necessary to replace the Paper Feed Kit. Look for visible damage or signs of wear, such as streaking, squealing, or jamming. Additionally, check if the rubber surface of the rollers has transitioned from rough to smooth, as smooth rubber indicates the need for replacement.

Can I replace the rollers myself?
Yes! Most, if not all, printers and copiers have a fairly easy way of replacing the paper feed kit. No special tools required! The rollers are usually just slide out and clip in. Alternatively, book one of our technicians to do it for you.
